What to Expect
First an interview will be conducted with the doctor to learn more about your concerns. It is helpful (although not required) to have a relative or friend accompany you to the interview in order to gain an additional perspective.
Next, we will administer paper and pencil tests to you to assess your memory, cognitive functions, and mood. There is no preparation required. Testing length can range from 2 to 4 hours, depending on the nature of the concern.
After testing, the doctor will review the results and then will meet with you to provide their impression.
The doctor will then write a report which summarizes their findings and send it to the referring physician. Please allow 2 weeks for the final report from your appointment to be completed. Please consider this when scheduling follow up appointments with your doctors.
Plan on being at our office for up to 4 hours.
Please bring anything to the appointment that you require to complete the testing (ex. eyeglasses, hearing aids, snack/drink, etc.).
